    Repair, maintain, install and inspect electronic, electrical and communication systems and related equipment. 

    • Locates and diagnoses electrical and electronic systems malfunctions using test equipment and computer diagnostics. Calibrates and repairs testing equipment.
    • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment by inspecting, cleaning and calibrating on pre-determined schedule. Tests repaired units for proper operation.
    • Use routing electrical equipment such as test meters, recorders and hand and power tools along with specialized diagnostic equipment.
    • Performs technical electronic and instrumentation equipment repair work, troubleshooting, modifying, testing, calibrating, adjusting, repairing and installing electronic equipment and monitoring devices.
    • Performs maintenance and repair on a variety of electronic equipment or maintain and repair electronic instrumentation with computer-automated processing system.
    • Inspects defective electronic equipment to determine malfunction
    • Reads and interprets schematic diagrams, logic charts, drawings and sketches and manufacturers’ manuals
    • Performs modifications on electronic equipment to make it compatible with existing equipment or to enhance its functions. Rewires printed circuit (PC) chips and other components on PC boards; conducts test to assure the modification produces desired outputs. 
    • Evaluates environments in which equipment is to be installed and how electronic equipment will be affected
    • Performs mathematical computations for the correct range of functions and to correspond correctly with electrical output and chemicals affected in the process
    • Install variable frequency drives in standalone applications as well as integrating into existing system
    • Install new equipment and integrate into existing control systems using standard communication protocols
    • Under direction of electrical engineering staff provides qualify-control inspections to ensure proper electrical processes.
    • Records test data and ensure that electrical failures are properly documented.
    • Prepare technical drawing using CAD equipment or other software systems in the design or modification of electrical applications. Develop project documentation including CAD drawings and technical specifications.
    • Support manufacturing process by providing technical support for manufacturing operations. This includes troubleshooting process control equipment and board level instrumentation.
    • Install and calibrate field instrumentation including RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, and pressure transducers.
    • Develops, designs, tests and modifies related electric components, equipment, products, and services, applying electrical theory and related knowledge.
    • Maintains engines and gear components, conveyor or packing equipment as well as robotic machinery as directed.
    • Uses principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve problems.
    • Performs other duties as requested


    • Certification/diploma in electrical technology from accredited school, Associate’s degree or a combination of equivalent education/experience.
    • Two years of experience in electronic repair
    • Special skills certification required.
    • Knowledge of electrical training, circuit and theories, calibration
    • Understanding of PLC’s with Allen Bradley or Siemens training
    • Understand circuit theory
    • Knowledge of principles and theories of electronics
    • Five-plus years of experience
    • Must be an effective team member.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
    • Ability to make technical decisions to resolve related issues within the framework of the job’s primary duties and responsibilities.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

    • Working conditions include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise.
    • Requires standing more than 2/3 of time.
    • Requires regular lifting up to 50 pounds, over 50 pounds with assistance.
