  • Obtain daily schedule and verify fiber bins.
  • Calculate core needs and finishing materails to ensure line is equipped.
  • Assist in setting up line and needle boards prior to start of shift.
  • Verify Trim blades are sharp and set to either 6 foot or 12 foot width. 
  • Verify against AS400 production schedule.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and daily safety monitoring of all personnel and team memebrs for card line.
  • Monitor quiality of finished product.
  • Assist in checking roll lengths, width checks, gage checks, and roll weights.
  • Verify that team members are making quality checks and records.
  • Work with managers to resolve quality issues.
  • Responsible for FHA printing and roll labeling.
  • Monitors and maximizes production efficiency such as making hourly square per hour checks and calculating and reviewing daily trim line waste.
  • Be proficient in operating each machine on the card line. 
  • Provide work guidance and operational training to team members.
  • Provide assistance to team members in achieving production goals while placing a strong emphasis on safety, quaility, and process efficiency.
  • Checks accuracy on downtime reports, weight check sheet report, rollup production report.
  • Direct card line team members on end of shift clean up and needle board replacement.
  • Responsible for security of department and make sure quipment is properly shutdown at end of shift, locks are off of trailers, dock doors are closed, safety devices are in place, etc.
  • Calculate daily trim waste, pouinds produced and square yards ran.


  • Conduct a weekly safety audit and weekly LOTO audit for card line.
  • Actively participate and engage in BBS program and all other Mohawk safety programs. R3 or BBS Facilitator and plant expert.  Mohawk Safety Master Trainer.
  • Report to managers all injuries, accidents, near misses, and policy violations immediately.  
  • Assist emergency response team by fighting small, incipient fires, ensuring safe evacuation of team members during code red drills, ensuring safe p assage to proper areas during code blue drills, and taking roll of team members.
  • Perform other duties as assisgned by management.        



  • Ability to use AS400 computer system to monitor schedule and make tickets.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks and JLG.
  • Ability to operate the Tearing Lines at a competent level if needed
  • Ability to perform all jobs on the Card Line (Card Operator, Roll-up Operator, and Wrapper) effectively if needed.
  • Must be willing to fill in for critical positions on day or night shift as needed.
  • Safety oriented and proactive on addressing any safety concerns observed in the facility.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see assignments through to completion.
  • Quality minded in understanding that customer satisfaction is essential in the survival of our business.
  • Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
  • Help with any trials on new products or new processes
